No, Xphere and ZIGAP weren't made by Artifriends. When SASEUL comes up, the names Xphere, Seoul Labs and ZIGAP often come up with it, so they are easy to mix up.

Public sources say that's wrong.

SASEUL and its official wallet (an app to receive and send coins) Guardee were made by Artifriends. Xphere is a different blockchain (a transaction record book shared across many computers) from SASEUL. ZIGAP is a wallet app.

Those two were made by Seoul Labs. Seoul Labs is a company that signed a cooperation agreement (a promise to work together) with Artifriends in 2023. I couldn't confirm whether they're still working together.

Who made SASEUL and Guardee?

SASEUL was made by Artifriends. A 2023 Blockchain Today article (a Korean news site) calls it "Artifriends, which develops and runs SASEUL."

The official SASEUL wallet app is Guardee. The profile on the official SASEUL GitHub (a site where programmers post their code) links guardee.io as the wallet. The maker name on Guardee in the App Store is "Artifriends" too.

What kind of company is Seoul Labs?

A different company from Artifriends. In September 2023 it signed a cooperation agreement (MOU) with Artifriends. With that, it's said to have become a "strategic partner" of SASEUL.

The same article says what it does. It supports companies that want to use SASEUL with technology. It also runs SASEUL events and user groups, and builds apps that run on SASEUL, the article says.

Two months later, a Seoul Shinmun article (a Korean newspaper) also says Seoul Labs works on expanding where SASEUL is used. This article separately calls Artifriends "Artifriends, which developed the SASEUL blockchain."

Is Xphere SASEUL?

No. Xphere (XPHERE) is a different blockchain from SASEUL. Its coin is called XP.

A February 2025 Incheon Ilbo article (a Korean newspaper) says Seoul Labs launched Xphere 2.0. It's described as an upgraded version of "the mainnet project Xphere." A mainnet is a blockchain running for real after testing ends.

Today, the official Xphere site names the operator as "XPHERE Foundation."

Is ZIGAP a SASEUL app?

It isn't an official SASEUL app. ZIGAP is a wallet app made by Seoul Labs.

Why is this so confusing?

No reason has been confirmed, but a few come to mind.

Seoul Labs is a company that signed a cooperation agreement with Artifriends in 2023. At the same time, it made its own blockchain (Xphere) and wallet (ZIGAP). So their names show up together in the same articles and at the same events.

ZIGAP also handles both SASEUL and Xphere. The two coins show up side by side in one app.

The two blockchains also describe themselves in similar ways.

An article on the Xphere launch also described Xphere as a mainnet developed from SASEUL technology. A March 27, 2024 Widedaily article (Korean) covers the launch announcement by FOB Lab, a joint venture Seoul Labs set up in Thailand.

The article says Xphere is a mainnet project that developed "the existing SASEUL blockchain technology" further. The FOB Lab CEO said Xphere would be a way to bring SASEUL (SL) assets, users and investors over to the Xphere side. He also said they wanted to build "a structure where SASEUL and Xphere circulate into each other."

How much of SASEUL's program Xphere's program reuses is unknown, because the code hasn't been compared.
