A hard fork is a big update after which older versions of the software no longer match the ledger. SASEUL released 2.2.0.5, expected to be the last fix for version 2.2, on July 28, 2026, and as of September 27, 2026 no date had been announced for the next hard fork, 2.3. An official notice on September 22, 2025 warned that many people had suffered losses from false information and hype around the hard fork.
